Merry Christmas! Our family gathered at our house this year for the annual festivities and what festivities there were! Gifts for all, more food than we could eat (not counting the desserts), and joyful family fellowship were enjoyed by all. We all even play a board game to appease Kim – it worked even though she lost. The food was delicious and so were the gifts. We hope your family holiday was as much fun as ours!

Alice Carlson Homecoming 2013
We had the opportunity to participate for the first time in the Alice Carlson tradition of Homecoming this year. Every class decorates one of their parent’s cars with a theme and the cars are judged and winners are chosen. Kim volunteered her car and it was decorated as a pig. Sadly it didn’t win but the snacks and music made up for it!

Happy Easter 2013
This year we had a quiet Easter at Rayford and Ellen’s house. The Easter Bunny did an excellent job of hiding the eggs and Rayford did an excellent job of cooking!

Grant’s 5th Birthday
Our little guy turned 5 this year and we celebrated with a pirate-themed birthday party! You had to walk the plank to enter, got to dig for buried treasure, and everyone got their own foam sword. I am still not sure how a bounce slide fits in with the pirate theme but nobody asked about that!

Grant’s Preschool Graduation
Grant had his last day of preschool! All the family that lives in the area showed up to celebrate with him. It was so cool getting to see him so proud in his cap and gown. We will have to wait a while to see it again!
