This Friday night we surprised Ellen with a birthday party! Unbeknownst to her all of her sisters traveled into town and the highlight of the evening was watching her be surprised one by one as they appeared! We ate, drank, and generally were merry. The evening included a slideshow as well as an acapella songs dedicated and performed by her sisters. Best birthday ever.

Hawaii 2016
Kim and I celebrated our 10th anniversary a little early this year so we could take a trip to Hawaii for spring break! The flight was long but worth every minute! We visited Pearl Harbor, the big island to see the active volcanoes, and spent plenty of time doing nothing on the beach. It was exactly what we both need and we are already planning to return! Grant received a souvenir of two live hermit crabs when we returned and he loves them!
California Trip 2015
This year during summer vacation Kim, Grant, Donna, and Alexis travelled to California to visit Ken, Mary, and Cyrus! They got to spend a whole week hanging out and doing fun and relaxing things, including DISNEYLAND! Everyone had a great time and it was so nice to spend time with some of the California Family. We all can’t wait to go back!
Grant’s 8th Birthday
Happy Birthday Grant! We all gathered together at Hawaiian Falls this Monday to celebrate Grant’s 8th Birthday. Grandma and Papa came as well as some friends from school to help celebrate the occasion! Everyone had a great time swimming, sliding, splashing, and eating. Kim did a wonderful job planning and decorating for the event and we almost had the place to ourselves! No one, especially his parents, can believe it was already time to celebrate another birthday.
Ellen’s Birthday 2015
Happy Birthday! We all got together to help Grandma celebrate her birthday Sunday. It was a little early but Monday is no day to celebrate! We took a drive to the Dallas Arboretum and spent the day taking in the sites and enjoying family time. There was a huge kids area of activities for Grant with a climbing treehouse to top it off. Grandma’s favorite flowers were on display EVERYWHERE. We all agreed we had never seen so many tulips in one place before. The weather was perfect and we capped of the day with some Uncle Julio’s. A perfect day to celebrate a wonderful woman!
